Shruthi strongly beleives that to be a good designer one needs to be sensitive and have a thorough understanding of the surroundings. With close to ten years of professional experience in art, architecture, interior design and landscaping she intends to give her clients a wholistic experience by creating well balanced living spaces.ART
She was born and raised on the west coast in India. The peaceful coastal setting nourished the young artist in her. She uses pencil sketches, water and oil colors for two dimensional expressions, and also aluminiun sheets, clay, wire, wood, paper mesh and concrete sculptures in three dimensional forms. She worked with renouned local artists to learn the different mediums and art forms.
ARCHITECTURE AND INTERIOR DESIGN
Experience and appreciation for three dimensional forms and the historical tours all over India in her early years led to the thirst to learn more about buildings. Graduating from M.I.T., India with major in Architecture and minor in Interior Design came as a natural choice. She had a chance to work with some of the best designers. Apart from earning the technicalities in a wide range of projects she also learned how designed spaces influence human psychology and behaviour.
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE
Active involvement in astronomy and trecking clubs as a student brought her closer to nature and made her more sensitive to environmental issues. Her thesies on Eco-tourism nourished her interests to learn how to interweave buildings with nature. To learn more on the subject she pursued further education in lanscape Achitecture from University of Washington, Seattle.
